Stephen Sank was introduced to the world of microphones at the age of 10, studying in the workshop of his father Jon, a legendary designer for RCA, who for 50 years passed on to his son all the experience gained in the field.

Today, Stephen continues the family tradition through Cloud Microphones, a company founded in 2009 in Arizona, and quickly establishing itself as a leader and innovator with its patented gain circuit, which solves the low volume often associated with ribbon microphones.

The same circuitry is used in the now-popular Cloudlifters, incorporating it in a format that can be used with the majority of microphones on the market.
