A lifelong bass enthusiast, Marco de Virgiliis enjoyed success with the leading amplification brand for this instrument: Markbass. From his friendship with the legendary Richard Bona, who was looking for a unique instrument, Marco decided to take the plunge and throw himself fully into lutherie. This collaboration gave birth to the Kimando and Kilimanjaro models, the artist’s signature. This was followed by new Made in Italy ranges (JP, the new Navigator range) and the more affordable Gloxy ranges, also featuring the Markbass preamp.
